Mine is when I got to drive my MG Midget to school for the first time...I got it for my 17th birthday! (My boyfriend was jealous because I could drive a stick-shift, and he could not!!)

  1. As a freshman, I was the 4th fastest sprinter on the track team. The top 3, were seniors. I was the only runner for my HS, who 'placed' in 80 yd. Hurdles, in EVERY track meet. I was a sprinting fool. I was quite competitive and obsessively determined to be the best at whatever I did. I was the only cheerleader who could do back-handsprings across the gymnasium floor. I was quite flexible and highly energetic. I became a cheerleader because I loved to jump and loved sports. It was never about popularity. I never really fit in with any one certain 'type' or group of people.

It's any wonder that I had so much energy at school, as I spent my school nights - ALL night - hanging out at the pool hall, playing pool all night. I went straight from the pool hall to school. I'd sneak out my bedroom window after my parents went to bed. To this day, they never could figure out how I became a professional pool player. If I'd been caught sneaking out of my window.....I wouldn't have lived to tell you this story !!?

Of all the fun I had in high school, awards won for writing (I LOVED English class), winning spelling bees, singing in the choir, and playing high school sports,  playing pool was second to none for me. I ate, drank, and slept pool.

To answer your question: My favorite memory from high school, was being active in so many activities, and having bounds of energy to keep up at the pace that I did!
