Ignoring my cell phone....

There is no Xbox to fight over...

There is no TV to fight over...

There are no bill collectors allowed...

We can dump the schedule in the trash and just do what we feel like...

I actually enjoy waking up at the crack of dawn while camping, taking a shower, having a cup of coffee with my husband before the kids get up and there is just peace... no where is this where is that I'm late....

Spending time with my family, playing games and actually having a conversation or just observing the things they choose to do to keep busy when there is no distractions.

I love just getting away from it all !

Just to explain, I live in California, me and my husband both work and have Eight kids. I love my annual camping trips!

Singing and dancing around the fire, but you can't do that at any ol' camp ground. We backpacked far into the woods in one of the least used wilderness areas in the state and went way off the trail and camped where there were beautiful views, an unnamed lake and privacy, my number one reason for being an outdoorsman.

The morning! Getting a sweatshirt on and making a fire and coffee. It's even better if it's cold enough to see your breath. It's always so quiet and beautiful.
