  1. I've been to the regions of Paris, Alsace (Strasbourg), Provence (the city of Arles), Burgundy (the department of Nievre), Champagne, Normandy, and Brittany.

I love the serenity of Alsace and the kindness of the inhabitants there.

I love the weather in Provence and its relaxed way of life.

I love the countryside in Burgundy, especially near the Loire river.

I love Champagne... for the Champagne, of course! ;-)

I love Normandy for the seaside towns (Deauville, Honfleur) and for the D-Day landing beaches, which make me feel proud of the soldiers who died to save France and the world from the n***s.

And the Brittany coast is absolutely lovely (reminds me somewhat of the U.S. northeast).

But Paris... I'd have to say Paris is my favorite. I've had some great times there and some very sad times there, but there is just something about it... the romance of it, the ambience, the beauty of the Seine river, the beautiful fountains--my favorites are those at the Place de la Concorde. Ah, admire the elegance:

the architecture, the old churches, the world-famous museums (the Louvre and the Orsay, to name a couple), the grand boulevards (especially when lit up at night), the quaint old streets (like rue Mouffetard, for example), the beautiful and iconic monuments (Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, among others), the haute couture shops along the rue du Faubourg St Honoré, the shopping, the food, the cafés--oh, the cafés! It is just quite simply unparalleled! Can you tell I miss it?

  2. Bretagne is gorgeous, Celtic country with tons of history and amazing crepe shops.  look for a town called Morlaix, which is the most perfect picturesque french village I have ever seen.  Its very close to the northern coast and has alot of WW2 history as well as some arthurian legend history.  I aklso reccommend the forest Huelgoat in the same area.  I lived in Brest for a while, which is most kind of gross, but I absolutely loved to visit the countryside.

  3. OMG I went to Provance and it was absolutely wonderful, I loved the mountains and the beaches, the shops were amazing and so was the food!  It was a favorite!

  4. NICE!!! And Paris.

But NICE!!! I suggest that everyone goes there.

  5. Almost the whole country is 'lovable'

but my favorite part is where I live :  nr PROVENCE

Provence is in the southeast of France.

Its identity as a geographical region is a hold over from the days of the Roman Empire.

Its western border is the Rhône river and its eastern border is Italy.

Provence includes the French Riviera and is famous for its sun, color (Van Gogh spent a respectable amount of time in Arles, painting the countryside), traditions, wines, food, and language (Provençal).

Its main attractions include the city of Avignon and the wide variety of villages which can be easily explored by car or bicycle on the network of country roads and highways.

Provence is a vast and beautiful region, and merits a long trip, not just a few days or a week.

To truly appreciate this region you must be the type of traveller who likes food, wine and local crafts.

It is recommended to make your own itinerary, and make it flexible enough to enable you linger at an outdoor cafe or winery or take in an interesting Roman ruin when the moment takes you.

There is a "joie de vivre" attitude throughout this area that is contagious, especially after two glasses of the regional rose and a picnic of cheese and sausage from the local farmers.

    Welcome !

  6. I loved Nice, absolutely fantastic city! The best one I've seen in France so far. Go there, go there NOW!

I used to live for 3 months in Lyon. Errr... okay it is a nice town, but do not do like me and go there alone as a girl or you will be stopped by lots of weirdos. But it is a nice place, good food in the old lyon, for cheap price. I really miss having a nice meal a wine pot there.

I like Dijon too, such a sweet city. So cute.

The one I liked the less? Grenoble. Boring like h**l. Not even that pretty. Oh yeah nice view on the alps, but just go few hours away in switzeland for the big deal. WAY better.

  7. You already know my answer...Paris
