What is your favorite place in your city and why?

We live in lovely Arlington, VA.  I particularly enjoy riding my bike along the WO&D Bike Trail which goes from nearby the Potomac River all the way to Purcellville, VA, (more than 40mi.)  It's a pleasant, relaxing ride on a paved bike trail, (part of the "Rails-to-Trails" movement.)  It's quite a welcome escape from life inside the Beltway.

Down by the river.  You can get lost in your thoughts while watching the water go by.

Sweet basilica. It's an excellent Italian restaurant.

There's also this amazing mountain I climb all the time that's near my house. At the top there is just this gigantic rock that stands above the trees and you can see for miles up there.

I'd have to say the view on top of South Mountain. I live in Phx, Az, and the mountain has a road all the way to the top that you can drive up on. At night especially, the city looks really cool twinkling and such.

Chilli's and its NOT for the food...They serve the BEST Minchiladas EVER!!!! Its made with DOS x*x from draft, ice, bloody mary mix, salt, pepper and garlic with a dash of Worcester sauce!!Add alittle hot sauce and trim the rim with salt and its the bomb..oh yeah you can munch on some Chillis egg rolls just for the heck of it !! LOL

My favorite place is called The Market Street Grill. It is a semi-fine dining experience meaning no dress code, and a fast paced atmosphere. They specialize in seafood dishes and have fresh seafood flown in daily. Although slightly pricy, you ARE paying for the best food and service in Salt Lake City. And even then, its not a bank breaker. They also serve breakfast starting at 6:00 a.m. wich includes fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice, coffee or tea, and among my favorite things on the menu they offer a delicious fresh crab omlette or a Salmon and Eggs Benedict entree. For a side you may choose between hashbrowns or Market Street Potatoes wich are baby red potatoes, with cheese parsley, onions and other seasonings. mmmmm. If anyone is ever in Salt Lake City, you must try!

Favorite place to eat here in L.A. is probably down at the farmer's market on third and fairfax - so many great places.

For a nice dinner out probably Tart or the Little Door.
