It's hard for me to decide, but I would have to say Wicked. Some of my others are Annie, Sweeny Todd, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Hairspray, Legally Blond, Beauty IS a Beast well, a lot. Heh, heh. Go Alfie!!! And MTI! (Musical Theater International) Thanks for your opinions!

  3. Wicked is good, but it's very over-hyped...I don't see why so many people absolutely love it. It's good, but not amazing.

My favorite show in the history of forever is Rent. It's the first show I really loved, so it's special to me. Other amazing shows: Spring Awakening, Avenue Q (hilarious), Sweeney Todd, Les Mis, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (this show rocks!), Jesus Christ Superstar (mostly because it's given me oppurtunities to break into song during church), Fiddler on the Roof, Bat Boy (my friend is OBSESSED with it), [title of show], and all the various versions of Forbidden Broadway.

  4. Sweet Charity

    How To Steal An Election

  5. Wicked. No other show is as original. It mixes a great story with humor and truth. The story we all thought we knew takes an entirely different shape in Wicked! It takes brilliance to devise this show.

  6. To whoever said "Wicked, no other show is as original..." you obviously a) know nothing about Wicked (how can it be original when it's based on a book? What about all the shows that WEREN'T based on a book?) b) know nothing about theatre c) probably don't understand the difference between theatre and theater (and no it's not a British/American thing) and d) a homer.

And Once on This Island is... boring. I do love Ahrens and Flaherty though for giving us Ragtime and Seussical.

With that being said, my top 5 favorite shows are: Les Miserables, Company, Parade, Ragtime, and Avenue Q. That's only scratching the surface though.

  7. i like most of the plays you mentioned, but my favorite would have to be either The Phantom of the Opera, or Wicked.

  8. rocky horror picture show or grease

  9. My all time favorite show is Wicked, but I like the other ones I've been in and seen.

    I've been in:

Annie, Peter Pan, Bugsy Malone, Wizard of Oz, School House Rock Live!, Grease, and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

    I've seen:

    Proffesional:

    Wicked and Lion King

    Community Theatre:

Into the woods, Once on this island, Oklahoma, and The Music Man.

I like RENT too, but I've only ever seen the movie version. I'd love to see the actual show.

  10. legally blonde, wicked, mamma mia, seussical!! i love any musical you should research idol i loved that one!!

  11. All of the plays that you chose are AMAZING! I recently did a play called Once on this Island. It is not very well known, but that doesnt mean its not good. It has a really cool story line and great songs. It won for "best score". It is the story of Ti Moune, peasent girl who, "is sent on a journey by the gods [earth, water, love and death] to test the streghth of love against the power of death.  This island is separated by social status- the peasants and the grand homes! Check it out! My favorite song in it is Mama will Provide, sung by Asaka, the mother of the Earth.

Keep an open mind when you watch it!

    ENJOY!!!
