Zoobmondo is a good one also where you have to pick between two equally gross things.

Settler's of Catan is an awsome game, takes about an hour to play, its all my family plays anymore.

If you want to play a very fun game, but also very complex, and games lasting 10 hours or so, try Twilight Imperium.

If you like to look at the mags in the grocery checkout line, there is a Steve Jackson game called INWO, or "Illuminati:  New World Order", which is hilarious! The idea is, everything you see on the pages of those magazines is REAL. There are orbital mind control lasers, and a Midas Mill, and power groups that use these and other tools to try to take over the entire world. It is a card game with strategy components and ridiculous rules - you can laugh hard enough to hurt yourself playing it!
