  1. If your looking gor somehting with "Balls" try a red Zinfandel or Cabernet from Chili.  Personnaly I like the Italian reds. My choice would be the Brunellos. If looking for a little more kick then try the Sicilian or harder to find Sardinias

Sicily is the largest wine region in Italy and is renowned for its dessert wines.

Their dry red made for the nero d'Avola can produce intensely black colored wines of real depth, juiciness and charm.

  2. Favorite Red?  How do you pick - it's like dog in need of a leak looking at a field of fire hydrants.  That said, I'm with you on the Brunello's.  I've 4 bottles of a Communli Brunello 2000 left in my stash.  Good stuff.  Another, any vintage - Angelo Gaja Barolo.   And if you can find it, any red wines from Sheridan Vineyards.  Before he started naming his wines, all he had was simply a "Red" and that's all he needed.  Then he came out with a Syrah.  Wow.  1st time I poured it, its was so intense, the color was black.  It filled my mouth, my head, and every taste bud in the next guy's body.   Yeah, you want big wine, look up Sheridan out of Yakima.

  3. St James - red velvet or blackberry

It's a local winery - and superior to Ste Genevieve (ste gen's blackberry is not so good!!)

  4. The award winning Pinot Noir from Eyrie Vineyards.  A great wine!

  5. A good Pinot Noir is the ticket for me...
