The Israel Museum in Jerusalem houses the Dead Sea Scrolls along with an extensive collection of Jewish religious and folk art. Israel has artist colonies in Safed, Jaffa, and Ein Hod, as well as three major repertory companies, the most famous being Habima Theater

  7. I would say the fact that historically speaking artificially-created states tend to have a shelf-life of less than one hundred years. The USSR,Czechoslovakia,Yugoslavia,etc.

    I do not find the people "wonderful" but then I would not have liked the people of n**i Germany either. I've always had this curious aversion to fascism and brutality.

  10. I love the Golan and the incredible scenery. In my opinion, the Golan is the most beautiful place on Earth :)

    I love praying at the Kotel in Jerusalem.

    I love snorkeling in the Reed Sea.

    I love the Kineret. No words can describe it's awesomeness.

    I love Israelis.

    I love walking to shul on Shabbat and knowing no one is going to point at me and say, "Mommy, Mommy, it's an Amish person!!"

    I love all the Kosher food.

    I love the Negev, especially at night.

    I love sleeping under the stars in the holy land.

    I love all the Hebrew!

    I love the candle shop in Tzfat with the largest Havdallah candle in the world.

    I love the Kibbutzim.

    I love all the gorgeous wrap-around skirts.

    I love being in my homeland.

    I love the beaches and the sunshine.  I also love knowing that some people are EXTREMELY jealous of Israel because in 60 years we have done more with this land, that was once totally neglected, than anyone could have ever dreamt of.
