I have 21 yr old Hanoverian mare that i got from my aunt, she can be kind of moody, she has her own personality so she doesn't always want to doing what you want to do, but i like that about her, she is loved by almost every horse and person that she meets and she really is beside you and knows how to cheer you up, She's just a really great buddy!

Aesop is a September 19, 2000 tb mix

1) Sweetest horse on the planet

2) Taught me how to be more responsible

3) He will let me just get on him (with me being 5'3-5'4 and him at 17hh) while he grazes.

4) We love to play around (he has good reflexes as in when I'm cleaning hoofs, I will look to see my helmet gone and I look up to see him holding on by the straps)

5) He doesn't buck or rear

6) Has the softest gaits (especially his canter and gallop!!)

7) Listens to me

8) Can always make me laugh

9) Loves ginger ale, wine, beer (he drank out of my mom and aunt's glasses when they weren't looking)

10) Due to large head (draft halters are small on him) he has whacked me a few times.  Also has accidentally thrown me off when a horsefly bit him and he leaped and I did a 360 over his head.   But if it's obvious I'm a little in pain from him, he realizes it and will sniff me, l**k me and stare at me like "I'm sorry mommy! I didn't mean to do that!!" Then I smile and rub his face =)

I've had Aesop since the minute he was born so we've bonded so much.

The gentleness he has about him.  All of ours are sweet & dog gentle, but it's like "Sage" understands....You know?

Bad day? Walk down to the barn or pasture he comes over nuzzles you & will stand there & let you talk, rant or b*tch or let you cry all over him.  After a while he will look at you & it's like he knows when you feel better.  Then he will give you a quick rub with his head then walk away.

I have been around tons of horses & I have even had others who were this way, but just knowing that they have a sense & do what they can to show you comfort is very heartwarming....

He can also be a HUGE goofball & I love that too.

My favourite thing about my foal is that he has trust in me and is so happy to see me when I arrive. He feels me with such joy!

He is a beautiful little bay colt that I cant wait to train.

His name is Arnie and he's 4 and a really cute chestnut warmblood. He bronks when I ride him but he will jump anything. I think he thinks he's a human because he will follow me anywhere with no leadrope and he gives me hugs and kisses. He can escape from his stable but he just sort of wanders out and then goes back on his own. Oh and he jumps into different fields... I guess the grass looks nicer haha. He's insane but he makes me laugh.

I have a 2 year old 15.3 hand buckskin Morgan gelding he is a hot fellow and very proud of himself.

My favorite thing about him are his eyes and that he looks right at you like he knows what is going on and what is being said..

I spent years researching his breeding and creating him, so he looks like the horse I had pictured in my mind but I had no idea that I would be so enamored with him and that it would be his eyes that I would find so infatuating.

I love my horse because:

-he has taught me how to sit to a buck!

-he allways neighs to me when i go to get him from the field everyday

-he nods his head to say "please" for his tea

-he lifts his upper lip and shoes his teeth when he wants a treat

-he lets me cuddle him loads, and he makes me feel better on a bad day

-he grooms me back (gently) when i groom him

-he trusts me and will walk past scary things with me

-he is a great jumper, and togther we have learnt to jump bounces, and have progressed to jumping 3ft 6inches

-he nudges me gently with his head if he wants some attention

-we will hack out for hours and hours

-i have only fallen off a few times and it was ALLWAYS my fault, never his

-i entered my first show with him and we got two 4ths (he has sweet itch so we did great)

-we went on a really long sponsered hack with loads of other horses, and he was really well behaved

-he has his mad moments and we have loads of fun!

-when we gallop and jump, he is really fast but still safe

-we have a great bond which is still growing after 3 and a half years together

that she'd do anything for me. I can do western english.. even the first day i tried bareback she never bucked. she never gets scared and is a leader to make me feel safe but lets me be the boss. shes willing and trustworthy and trots up when ever i call her..

I love how my 4yo mare Stormy talks to EVERYBODY.if you talk to her,she will whinney back.She is funny too..the stallion and her talk constantly!its really cute!

i have a cremello QH gelding named Lance and he's about 8 years old. i've been trying to train him and work with him but sometimes i can get so annoyed at him when he wont listen or when he fights the bit. When we're done riding, im annoyed at him but then i'll feel this little pink nose sniffing my ear and i look at him and he has this sweet look in his eye. It completely melts my heart lol. i can never stay mad at him :]

My new horse that I got in late May is a 12 year old sorrel TB mare. She has a lot of spunk which I love. She loves going fast but isn't always chopping at the bit. She is very smart, I taught her her leads, how to square & trot in hand the 2nd wk I had her. But the thing I love the most is I kept her at the same boarding facility that she was at before I bought her & every1 says she is so much more calm & happy with me. =D The previous owner told me she hated doing the cross ties & hated trails, she would buck & be very angry. The first time I put her in the cross ties she did nothing, stood there like an angel. & The first time I took her out of the trail we went with 3 buddies, she was fine too actually seemed to enjoy it cause we raced. & I took her by myself & again she was calm & perfect.

It makes me extremely happy that my horse likes me better & is happier with me. Its especially nice to hear it from every1 at the barn. They tell me shes a totally different horse since she's been with me. =D

i have a couple horses but the one i ride the most is my TB  boy i don't like his registered name so i just call him jay he's the only i really talk about on Yahoo! answers

anyways he's super smart, loves to cuddle even though he's too big too

(he pushes his head into my arms so i can rub his face he lOVES that and sometimes falls alseep when i rub his face)

he is such a lover and very overprotective and gets jealous when i give my attention to someone else

haha kinda like the perfect guy

i love the smell of horses i know that sounds weird but everytime i walk in the barn i take a DEEP breath and i know i'm in the right place

my horse was an abused ex race horse

he has very sensetive feelings if you yell at him he will totally ignore you

if you talk sweet and gently too him he will jump the whole world for you

I have several horses but my favorite (dont let the rest know LOL) is my yearling Arab gelding...He is so goofy that his name fits him Joker, registered name AM Shadow Basko.  Now every morning we have the same routine...6am i fumble down to the corrals and his the first i come to.  I feed he dances all happy I'm there.  This takes me about 1/2 hour, he waits for me, maybe takes a few bites of hay still dancing.   Then its mucking time...He has to be right next to me or he stands on my rake or in front of the pile i want to pick up so i give him some loving.  I scratch him he stretches like a cat, head in the air with teeth showing. He then grabs the hat off my head and runs, he wants me to chase him.  I have been trying to get him to push the rake, i can get it in his mouth, i figure if i can get him to help it will take me less time to clean his corral LOL  We do this every morning.  I love this guy, he was a ugly unwanted colt i paid 300 dollars for him, now he is so beautiful everyone wants to buy him from me, my ugly duckling turned into a swan.
