  2. Mine would be the Boeing B-17. Mainly because I lived near a bone yard (Mesa AZ) where many were being scrapped and disassembled when I was a kid. Used to go wonder in there on Saturdays. It looked like it meant business. I learned later that they were very tough planes. They were very durable and over-built. An old pilot told me he had his '17 shot up with one hole in it the size of an office desk, there were pieces missing, one engine out, and the wind rushing through the fuselage. And it still brought him and his 9 man crew home. If you put in "B-17" on ant search, you'll get plenty of photos. There were 12,037 of 'em built.

  3. Private aircraft, I am partial to the Rutans.  Simply because I love their aesthetics.

Transport category, I like the MD80.  I have always found it to be a very easy airplane to work on.  Although I prefer the Boeing manuals.

Military aircraft, I have always loved the P-51 Mustang.  It reminds me of a corvette or jaguar with its long nose.

Odd Ball aircraft, the pregnant guppy.

  4. B-52.  Also  problably one of the biggest planes ever.  I dont have a link for it.  You just have to type B-52 in Yahoo! Images.

  5. A-12,SR-71,YF-12. Any of these variants. Why? Just look at it! Plus at over three times of sound, it will knock you on your butt and have its way with your sister and mother before you ever hear it.
