  1. A cruisetour to Alaska. Why - you get the enjoyment of a cruise plus you get to see some beautiful scenery, wildlife and meet some amazing people. Depending on how much time you can spend there are several choices,

Either a 7 day cruise with the land tour before or after your cruise or Holland offers the same but, with more land tour and a 3 day cruise. Also you can either go North or south.

  2. When I go on cruises, I have asked well travelled people their favorite cruises.And... the answer I have received the most is......... ....The South Pacific Islands

  3. I love cruising to almost anywhere.  I have been on about 20 cruises including Alaska, New England/Canada, the Baltic countries, twice to the Mediterranean, the Mexican Rivera, the Eastern, Western and Souther Caribbean routes and the Panama Canal.  Next will be South America, Hawaii, and the Australia.   Between going to the exotic places I like to find a good deal and just cruise in the Caribbean and many times not even get off the ship, except maybe to go to the beach.

  4. I love the cruises that visit the Eastern part of the Caribbean. I have visited Aruba, Curacao, St. John, Antigua, St. Thomas ,Puerto Rico and many beautiful islands. It is really fantastic, the places, the weather and the people.

  5. The Eastern Caribbean! I've been to Puerto Rico (2x), St. Thomas (2x), Antigua (2x), Tortola (1x), Bahamas (1x), St. Lucia (1x), and Dominica (1x). I would go back in a heartbeat! It is something out of this world. The atmosphere is so relaxing. There's so much to do, or you can do nothing at all and still have a blast. I would love to see Alaska, but I don't want to go on vacation to cold weather when I have to live in it so many months out of the year.

  6. My favorite was Alaska which was a cruise/tour. So I spent 4 days in the interior of Alaska, staying at Princess cruises own luxury hotels, then went on the ship. It was the best cruise ever, so much, that I want to do it again. I know that one often thinks of a cruise going to a warm, sunny tropical place, but believe me, most people name Alaska their favorite cruise.

  7. I like cruising the Mediterranean, any part of it really, although I do like Italy, especially Rome, Florence and Pisa for the historical sites.

I have been on 20 cruises and found the best beaches and sea to be in the Maldives. The fish swimming around you when you swim is amazing.

A cruise on the Nile is truly fantastic, and a swim in the Dead Sea is good for relaxation.

Our next cruise is in July to Alaska.

Any cruise is great for seeing different places and if you go somewhere you really like you can always go back for a holiday to explore the area and country more thoroughly.

  8. Personally my ideal vacation is relaxing, with warm, sunny days.  So for me a Caribbean cruise is perfect -- Holland America Line if I want higher-end and refined but quiet, Carnival if I want more nightlife.

But cruises are different in a lot of different ways. You might like this guide to Choosing a Cruise
