  1. Mmmm Jilly bean I agree, Kartoffel salat - I love it =]

  2. Spaetzle and Kartoffel Salat (Potato Salad.) Yummy!!!

  3. So you talk about food or meals? Talking about food, to me it's "Wuerstchen" (weiner, sausages), no need for a recipe there, you just buy them ;-)

  4. Roast beef sandwich Bavarian style!  Plenty of roast beef, Rye bread w/ lots of brown mustard and and horse radish.

  5. My personal favorite is Maultauschen, a German ravoli served in southwest germany. They are normally fairly big and stuffed with meat and spices. It's commonly served in a broth, though I've had some fried as well which were amazing. I don't have a recipe that I've tried (as I'm currently in Germany and you can buy them premaid at the supermarket)  though I've googled recipes for them before and there are plenty in English.

  6. Yummy I love German food!! I always make lot's of it from Bratwurst with sauerkaurt, Friekadel with mashed potatoes, Schnitzel with fried potatoes, but my favorite is Rolanden with pasta and the gravey!! Oh it's delicios...If you haven't tried it you should.

    You need the following:

Rolanden meat (thin sliced Sirlion Steak)

    Thin flat pasta noddles

Smoked Bacon cut in thin little pieces

Pickles....German ones if you can get them thin little slices

    Onion thin sliced

    Toothpicks

    Salt and Pepper

    Mustard

    Maggi brand Rolanden Gravey

Take the meat and salt and pepper both sides

Put mustard on one side all over

Then put the onion, pickles, and bacon and roll it up

Then use the toothpicks to close tight so nothing comes out.

then fry them in oil in a pan for about a minute on all sides

them put in a pot with the gravey mix and cook on low medium for an hour.

Serve when done with noodles and the gravey.

  7. I love German pasta

  8. I don't have recipes, but kasespaetzle, Knodels, and pretty much anything from a backerei are really good.  Except for the lebkuchen, and the leberwurst.

  9. Tafelspitz mit Grüner Soße und Petersilien Kartoffeln.

  10. Rouladen! - mit Nudeln oder Knödeln uns Kopfsalat!

  11. Breezer, When I go to Germany this is what my Son in law fixes for us. It is so wonderful.
