  1. You're gonna think I am lying but there is a Texas wine called - Sweet B*tch - it's awesome.

And noooooo I am not a wine connoisseur, so I don't have much to compare it to but it is good!

  2. I have always liked Italian reds and French whites.  Over the past few years I have come to appreciate many other varieties but my favorites are still European.  They are:

    1. DaVinci Chianti Classico Reserva...$29

    2. Antinori Peppoli.....$19

    3. Carpineto Chianti Classico....$19

If shopping for Italian wines you can never go wrong with certain lables.  Such as:

    Antinori, Banfi, Carpineto, Dievole, Frescobaldi.

I also like some California reds:

    1. Clos du Bose Marlstone.....$49

    2. Fransican Magnificate....$45

  3. thunderbird, its 17.5% alcohol and its about 4 bucks a pop.

its one of a group of "bum wines" so named because its high alcohol percentage with low price, PERFECT FOR ALCOHOLIC BUMS!!!!

    like me :'(

  4. For a reasonable price, my favorite right now is:

    Falasco Ripasso - $16

A nice Italian Red made from the Valpolicella grape, fermented young to give it a nice distinct taste. I strongly recommend this one if you're into a nice long finish, red wine.

As for a white for a good price:

Coopers Creek Sauvignon Blanc - $9

A steal, a nice light, not to much fruit, semi-dry wine reigning from the incredibly popular Marlborough Region of New Zealand, definitely a wine for the summertime.

Now, going into the high-end wines, here is my favorites:

Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - $85

An incredible full-bodied, ripe, supple, strong, long finished Cabernet from Napa Valley, my favorite Cabernet to date for me. A must try for a Cabernet lover!

  5. For still wine, I love the Mondavi fume blanc.  But for a bubbly, it has to be Mumm demi-sec.  Best sparkler ever!  And only for about $20!

  6. Favorite as in buy regularly:

    - Tin Roof (anything) $12

    - Ravenswood Sonoma Cabernet or Zin, about $15

    - Williamsburg Winery Governer's White: $8

    - 14 Hands Merlot : $12

    - Chat. St. Michelle Riesling: $14

    - Mouton-Cadet Blanc White Bordeaux: $15

I can't think of my special occation faves. Some Chateauneuf-du-Pape or icewine would certainly make that list. A few Bordeaux.
