i am turkish and i love all of our food but i want to know peoples favourates

(Green pepper Jam)

This is a lovely jam for having on toast. Be sure to chop the green peppers finely

4 cups of finely chopped green peppers 500 ml sugar

2 ml salt 2 ml fine ginger

2 ml mixed spice

Mix all ingredience in a stainless steel pot and stand for 21/2 hours. Bring to boil for about 40 minutes over a moderate heat until syrup thickens. Remove from heat and bottle while warm in sterilized bottles.

Green beans with tomatoes and onion.  My  Turkish friend used to make this and serve it cold.  It was wonderful.

I had that Saturday night with a seared tuna steak for main.

My boyfriend had meatballs in a tomato sauce and originally ordered sea bass but they gave his salmon...

Quote of the weekend - "Oh, is this not sea bass?" - she asks us, looking down at a bright pink fillet of cooked salmon.

The Turkish are definitely NO fish experts, lol.

My husband is Turkish and I love, love, LOVE Turkish food.  I love Kisir, cacik, kiymali pide, icli kofte, adana kebab, shish kebab, bulgar pilaff. Ooooh I could go on and on.

Isman Bayaldi, a stuffed eggplant dish with veg and bit of yougart or soya yougart on top and veggie pisille, like with roasted veg, eggplant and roasted tomato sauce and for this some feta cheese.
