  2. White stilton with fruit.

  3. Welsh Dragon cheese..it's like red leicester but is made with red chillies in it. I've only ever seen it in Welsh supermarkets.

Fantastic when grilled lightly on some toast.

  4. Got to be cheddar king of cheeses, I like to have cheddar with salads or ploughmans lunch,

  5. sorry , didn't know there is somebody who dares eat British cheese....

    ... ahhahahah...... only joking....

    don't know any...

    kiss

  6. Double Gloucester - it is delicious in almost anything or on its own

  7. Well I live in Somerset so I have to say Cheddar:)

I'll have it however it comes. toasted, grated, straight off the block......

  8. I don't think I have one.   I spent several weeks last summer in Britain and I could not find a cheese I liked other than cheddar.  I had to look for Danish, Swiss, etc cheeses to survive my 6 weeks!

Sorry, but I don't think British food, in general, is all that appetizing.

  9. Mature cheddar - I love it as it is with red wine, melted on a pizza or grilled on toast with tomatos - you are making me too hungry!!

  10. Grandma Singletons Strong Lancashire

    The cheese that bites back

Straight with biscuits - not toasted.

  11. Elizabethan Cheddar is the only yellow cheese I can get where I'm located. It tastes like cheese. It cooks like cheese. It's good on salad, mexican food, grilled cheese sandwich, submarine sandwich, omelettes, oh the list goes on. But, they don't stock it all the time. And then I think...

  12. the pm

  13. 5 counties strait thank you.

  14. I like mild cheeses, I think my favourite is Cheshire. I'm not keen on it toasted, but I like it in sandwiches, with pasta or on its own.

  15. Dorset Blue Vinny. It was popular in the county at one time, but people stopped making it and it became 'extinct'. Then a modern cheese maker found the recipe in an old book and 'resurrected' it. It's like a creamy Stilton, and very strong. I think it would be a bit much for a salad, should be good toasted, but is probably best savoured straight.

  16. Mature English cheddar is the world's greatest cheese in my opinion.  I like it in sandwiches, in salads, or toasted.  Toasted cheese is probably my favourite thing to eat in the whole world.

I am also very fond of Red Leicester.
