What is your favourite Indian Restaurant in Liverpool?

I think Light of Bengal is head and shoulders above the rest. Royal in Smithdown in same ownership is excellent too. As is Sahpla in whitechapel. Was disappointed with Gulshan slightly but each to their own and probably great on another day. Many Thanks

red fort on lark lane is good, as is light of bengal on aigburth road but my favorite is Gulshan further down aiggy road towards speke, its costly and i have only been once but it is a boss indian, the toiltes alone are worht a visit. I have food allergies and the chef came out to chat to me about what i can eat and changed my meal accordingly. top class service.

for takewawy i would say Naz tandoori on smithdown, or cinnamon in wavertree. bot good but naz is the better value as its only £2.95 for a veggi madras, class :)
