  1. Civil - Concorde. Military - tie between the B-52 and the SR-71. They are all ultra cool (apart from the SR-71 which takes 35 mins to cool down so that the ground crew can deal with it).

  2. The SR-71 Blackbird.

Primarily because of the way it looks - it's awesome.

And of course it can reach Mach 3.2

  3. Boeing 777-ER

The "triple seven" is gigantic although the huge GE90-115b engines with nacelles as wide as a 737 fuselage make the plane look like a typical wide body twin from a distance.

With engine thrust rated at 115,000 lbs. the awesome power plant  is a wonder of modern technology.

    .

  4. Boeing 747 because of its massive looks. It looks good. I get chills whenever I see one.

  5. Boeing 747 because it has 4 engines that power the beast and it is also roomy because it is a widebody

no need to critisice me because i did'nt mention the airbus a340 what is the use of it 4 engine's 4 long haul its rubbish it waste's too much petrol

  6. SR-71

  7. Aerostar Rx-7.

Learned to fly in them and I like the fabric and the Zone 5 burners.

The wicker baskets were woven by Native Americans in the Dakotas. Unfortunately, Raven Industries, which owned Aerostar, pulled out of the hot air balloon market.

  8. My Fisher 404.

  9. UH 60 BLACKHAWK.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT A HELICOPTER IN HERE AND WHY NOT THE BEST ONE AROUND.

  10. Duckbill Platypus

They look like a duck :)

  11. YF-23 Faster than F-22,Stealthier but lost to the F-22.

  12. I'd have to say the Boeing B-17. It was over built and very durable. Many years ago I interviewed WW II pilots for a very extensive writing project. Certainly, many 17s were shot down over Europe. But many more stayed in the sky long past the point they looked like they could. One pilot told me, "I got shot up many times, but never shot down." Each one carried a crew of 10 men. Even with holes in it the size of your computer desk, one or two engines shot out, pieces missing, and the wind rushing through the fuselage, it could still bring its crews home.

  13. AH-1s MC (Modernized Cobra)

it  is  a tank killer  has an awsome weapons platform 20 mm  vulcan  TOW missle system  plus I was A Crewcheif  in an Attack Flight Platoon

  14. The EXTRA 300 Aerobatic airplane. Aerobatic flying is the ultimate in aviation.

  15. It is a tie between the Concorde and the Boeing 747.  Both are so unique and awesome in their own ways.  The Concorde has speed and power whereas the 747 has such size and dominance.  I guess that would be by the United States chose it was the president's aircraft!

  16. The F4U Corsair.

It was designed using a slide rule as a calculator, it's fast, agile, resistant to battle damage, with a reliable engine.

It was a single engined rocket, the air cooled engine could have jugs shot off and it would still get you to safety.

Honestly, I don't think I would have had the balls to fly one, but what a ride that must have been.

I knew a fellow who, in a rage, made Harlingen to Lancaster in 51 minutes, which was pure comedy. There are more stories,.. I'll save those for a later date.

The Lear 20 series was an incredible innovation in private and corporate jet travel with some of it's own comedic caveats; one of the original drawings for a cannon plug we turned to in frustration said "pick a pick a pin," in Bill Lear's handwriting.

There aren't many aircraft I don't love. Each one has it's own quirks and irrgularities. I've seen very few I could just call "ugly".

  17. P51- history

    or Gee Bee-just CUTE!
