There are so many interesting little niches these days and I love reading about them on the internet. However, this can be a bit unsatisfying as I always find another cool link half way down the page and never get an in depth knowledge of anything, because I forget to bookmark stuff. Please can you tell me about an area of science that you find particularly interesting (or more than one) and give me a link to a really good starting point for research, and maybe a more advanced link for later use. Thank you in advance. I just want something interesting to do during the summer holidays.

  2. Science is full of interesting little bits that is is easy to get sidetracked. As a physics teacher of course this is where my main area of interest lies. There are many areas within this to try to get your head round. Consider looking into the origins of the universe - the big bang

This fascinating area of current research leads us to ask searching questions about the fundamental understanding of how everything fits together and the grand unification theory.

have fun learning about everything :-)

  3. Chemistry.

It is interesting and have many undiscovered reaction, which we can experiment. Its fun exploding the lab. Laugh Out Loud.

  4. d**n History isn't a science is it.

  5. Ecology

  6. science of astronomy

  7. chemistry...so easy..

  8. cosmology is amazing!

  9. I'm a bit like you actually. I love all biology and physicsbut because they're such expansive fields within science I only ever really catch titbits. The subject I'm reading about at the moment is Quantum Physics. I don't have an internet article link, but there is a pretty good layman's 'starter' book though. You'll need to have very basic physics knowledge but the payoff is extraordinary if you've never encountered it before!

  10. engineering science, because everything related different science is in Engineering science.

  11. String Theory - because within this body of mathematics we may find the Grand Unified Theory....

But it is pretty difficult to follow.

  12. I'm a research astrophysists and I love what I do. How about looking into the angular momentum problem for young stars - still not solved but nice anyway. You can find lots of papers by going to nasa's ADS site. Just  google it
