  17. If we're talking about NBA buzzer beaters, it would be in Game 5 of the 2004 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Detroit Pistons and the New Jersey Nets. The game went either way and so did the series. Chauncey Billups hit a shot from half-court that tied the game and sent it into overtime. Even though the Pistons lost that game in triple OT and fell behind 3-2 to the Nets, they rallied in Games 6 & 7 to put the Nets away for good. They would go on to beat Indiana in six in the Conference Finals before destroying the Lakers in five games.

    But if we're talking about the NCAA, then the best shot ever was in the best game ever between the Duke Blue Devils and the Kentucky Wildcats in the '92 regional finals. Christian Laettner's shot to win that game for Duke (Blue Devils 104, Wildcats 103 in OT), propelled them to the Final Four where they defeated Indiana and Michigan (featuring the Fab Five) to repeat as NCAA champions.
