What is your favourite chain of restaurants, not fast food, and why?

I enjoy macaroni Grill because it offers more than pleasing mediocrity, and dislike TGI Friday's because they don't cook most of there food but by ready prepared food and "rethermalize it."

I'd have to say Applebee's. They have the appetizer sampler that I love. Also they're Blondie is delish!

California Pizza Kitchen.

Everything tastes really good (usually), is prepared with fresh ingredients and the restaurants are spotless.

El Torito does a great job with Mexican Food

Chili's and Applebee's come to mind with their sampler appetizers.

When I lived in California, I loved Marie Calender's...the pies were to die for!!  Waffle House is hard to beat for breakfast...good value, usually fast and food's pretty good.

This is more of a California/West Coast restaurant chain, but Claim Jumper serves some of the best American food like steak, baby back pork ribs, and prime rib along with great appetizers, soups, side dishes, and desserts.  Everything comes in enormous portions at reasonable prices and it is definitely good quality food.  Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant is especially unique and relaxing which is important for great restaurants.  It is basically an Outback Steakhouse that is 100 times better! :]

And one more thing, if you want good Italian food, Buca di Beppo is definitely the best.  I love Olive Garden, but their food is a joke when compared to this high quality restaurant that also has a very lively atmosphere.  Not only is the food better, but it has bigger portions for better prices and is a definite go to spot for large groups and family dinners.

I too, choose Macaroni Grill as my favorite chain.  Their food is wonderful. I haven't eaten at a Friday's in a long time. Had no idea about their practices. My other favorite chain is Panera Bread. You may order at the counter, but the food is fresh and delicious. One chain I don't care for is O'Charley's.

I LOVE olive garden as far as a chain restaurant. Italian food is the best! The salad and breadsticks with alfredo sauce and the fetticine with 3 cheese or arribiata sauce is killer! As for a non chain restaurant, Sylvia's in NY has soul food almost like Mom and has some of the best cornbread.

does it have to be a chain? cause i LOVE Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles =] only in LA haha i mean, its freaking chicken AND waffles! you can't get any better than that!

but as a chain i really do like P.F. Chang's because it serves most amazing Chinese food and Johnny Carino's because, well, i can get an espresso with dinner =]

but nothing beats In-N-Out! I feel bad for people who have never been there haha

I like the Olive Garden because of their bread and salads. I like Cracker Barrel, no one restaurant can make chicken and dumplings like they do, they are sooo good!
