It's hard to define a "favorite."  Each has its own mood and appeal.

In southern central Arkansas, I love the daffodils in March.  A close second is native blue flag iris.

In the Davis Mountains of Texas, I love the fushia blooms on the cactus plants.  Something delicate and almost feminine inherent in a plant so tough and durable and strong...like so many women I know.

In my garden on the edge of the desert, I love the hardy, sun loving gazinias.  They are bright and vibrant, and bloom all summer long if I just keep them dead headed.  In that same vein, I love the desert willow, a relative of the rhododendron.  The hotter and clearer the weather, the more beautifully it blooms and grows.

My aunt's home was surrounded by day lilies.  So stately and showy, just as she was.

Early mornings in Colorado, it is hard to resist the appeal of the wild morning glories.  I love the delicate shading of pink and lavender, and the effort it takes to get up and see them before they close their faces before the intense sun.

I even have some fragrant roses in the front yard.  I didn't plant them, and I hardly pay any attention to them, but there they are, season after season, and I love their independence.

From my childhood, I will never forget the scent of lilacs in the spring, wafting in on the breeze as I lay down for my nap in the early afternoon.  I also woke to the scent, and the delicate clusters were fascinating in their undulating dance with the breeze.

I carried mums and baby's breath in my wedding bouquet.  Naturally, they hold a special place in my heart.

I guess the answer is like all my children....all my flowers are favorites.

Stargazer Lillies! Omg they are so beautiful and they smell so good! I am planning on getting one tattooed on my shoulder! :)

Gerber daisies.....no, wait, Dahlias....no! I mean, Mums! I like Mums...wait...Oh how can I choose just one to be my favorite!? I love variety and color, so I love them all! :)

Most of the time it's "whatever is in bloom", but if I could only have one flowering plant, it would be peonies......followed closely by lilacs.

I love roses ( who doesn't? ) morning glories, daisies :), daffodils, and cherry blossoms. But most of my favourite plants dont flower like ivy, ferns, and clovers :D

and they may be a weed but i love daisies and buttercups!!! i am gutted that the lawn we laid last year is just green!!! lol!!
