I live in farnham surrey, and i have a shortlist of three, The Sandrock near farnham, the Bull Inn at Bently, and the Bush Inn at Ovington all great bars and fantastic food.

took a bit of getting into bar the bar staff are great, the landlord and landlady are superb and the locals are all a great bunch and it is the perfect community pub as everyone knows each other its just a luagh from start to finish, it may not the modernist of pubs but makes up for that by having the "normal" customers with plenty of personality.

things like 20 year olds laughing with 70 year old cos they dont know who spongebob sqaurepants is, and the 70 year old laughing back when a question about the beatles turns up in the quiz , you cant buy an atmosphere like that

The Red Lion in Ealing.  Actually it's a rule that Red Lions are generally good pubs.  No-one knows why...

Wetherspoons - they generally have good food, good atmosphere and good range of alcoholic and non-alcohlic beverages!!

The North Forlands in Rochester Kent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great entertainment. Leigh's karaoke on Saturday nights - best karaoke going!! We love The North Forlands!!

The Free Masons in Hampstead and also the Bull and Bush.  They are both in North London and just so nice!
