What is your favourite restaurant in Vancouver BC and why?

I really love Cactus Club. Lots of variety and good atmosphere. Also, the waiters always give you very good service.

My absolute favourite is Memphis Blues and the reason is food and only food. I've only ever been to the original (now there are at least 3) on Broadway near Granville. It's southern barbecue as good as anything I've had back in Dixie. The sides are especially delicious (like cornbread and smoky beans) and the ribs themselves are the kind that fall off the bones when you give them a mean look! Atmosphere? Not. But I have never eaten ambience yet.

On the very rare occasion I want a upscale I go for the seafood place with the very short name, C or its almost equally abbreviated sister locale, Nu.
