What is your first impression about South Africa.3 sentences please and state where you are staying?

I am from the U.S. and I spent 2 weeks there in 1998 on vacation. I would say SA is one of the most beautiful and diverse places I have ever been too.

Safari in Kruger National Park (Mala Mala)

Stellenbosch Wine Region

Cape Town (Victoria Harbour) (Table Mountain)

The mountains in the George area.

The drive to the Cape of Good Hope from CapeTown

The coastal area St. Simons to Durban

I could go on and on. For the money the best vacation ever.

First impressions of South Africa (note I have never been there personally):

1. Amazing wildlife I would like to see (Especially Kruger National Park).

2. A dangerous place to visit still, in the personal safety stakes.

3. Love the new National Flag, it seems so modern and representive.  Well designed, great colours.

I am an Australian living in Sydney.   When I grew up in the remote northwest of Australia, my neighbours across the street were South Africans,  some the nicest people I know.
