What is your general opinion on people who are self-centered, and only care about themselves??

i dont know, i was going through a period of depression a while back, something i have experienced since i was a little girl and cannot control and my friend kept calling me self centred. I could not help it. When you have a burning nebulous fire in your head everyday and feel like crying all the time what can you do?It was not intentional on my part. who is more selfish then? me though im not responsible for whatever crazy imbalance is in my head or my friend who constantly insulted me. I would never call the person up and everything as i have social phobia and am afraid of rejection. I just keep to myself now as i dont mean to be self centred but i know i experience depression since i was 7, i dont want to hurt others so i just isolate myself. I am very gentle though and do not like hurting others feelings by being cruel or anything, i just feel very down and it really spereates you from other people who may then consider you selfish!

they lack attention and care. i pity them in general.

Avoid them.  They will endlessly disappoint you.

Some are born that way, and can't help it.  That's not to say you should get sucked in to help them.

people who are self-centred and only think about themselves are in their own way troubled from life problems e.g- families, peer pressure. but sometimes they are self centred because they are just people who can't get girlfriends and are idiots.

just watch out for them if your trying to get any help from them - they would be the people who say theyl do something but just drop it while in progress just to satisfy some self needs

im not saying that theyr bad people - everyone is different - its just i think you should watch it more while asking for something from them

Some are not aware they are self-centered. Only shows that most people don't know themselves.
