What is your hamsters name ?

also what species is it ?

mine is a robo dwarf hamster

her name is twinkie ! =)

but i cant tame her

can u help me

because the first day i got her i touch her and i hold her but she didnt want to and now i read some books about hamster and i know that it was a mistake

so what can i do to tame her ?

i have 2 syrians called ronaldo and holly and a chinese called molly.

about the taming wear thick gloves and talk to it gently

im not sure, i just try to handle them almost 2x a day and get them used to my scent. I also feed them out of my hand and let them play in my hair!!!!

But my hamsters had alot of babies who had more babies and i had about 30 hamsters and i named som

My hamsters don't have names.You can't expect a hamster to like you the first day you have it. I have 14 roborovski hamsters, and the mother was not tamed when i got her.But i just kept trying and now she's pretty much cool with.

I actually have a guinea pig named Bubbles, but as far as i know guinea pigs are not trainable. guinea pigs simply have to get used to you.I know nothing about that with hamsters.

I have a dwarf hammie I got from petco. She is a winter white mix. She is just the fattest little thing and her top coat is kinda the color of a hamburger so we call her hamburger patty. I usually call her Patty though. About the taming, if she is used to you, you can try and pick her up. If not, stick a tube of any kind into her cage, and wait until she crawls into it. As soon as she is in it, take out of the cage and cover your hand with one side. Now she has to crawl into your hand. Make sure your sitting down, robos are jumpy. Repeat this every evening when she is awake and she will eventually be tamed. Each handling session should be at least five minutes long and ten minutes between each session. I would recommend giving a treat after each session so she looks forward to handling. By the way, Twinkle is such a cute name I just love it! Good Luck With Twinkle!

I have 3 syrians Elephant, Scratchers, and Coconut.  As far as tameing them sometimes it takes a while just keep handeling her a little everyday and hopefully eventually she'll get better about it.
