  1. C. I'm Eastern Band Cherokee, it seems to occur on both sides of my family even though my mother is predominantly Irish (my father was the full Cherokee.)

  2. I am a "northern barbarian".

The great majority of the Y-chromosomes among even these "northern barbarians," however, are comprised of the same haplogroups (R1b in Western Europe, R1a1 in Eastern Europe, and N in Northeastern Europe) as the majority of the Y-chromosomes of the southerly, earlier civilized populations.

  3. G, I'm Norwegian!

  4. This is the first time I've heard of this.

    What is a haplogroup?

I have Irish, English, and Shawnee Indian blood in me.  So how would I be classified under this system?

  5. One of my brothers is R1b. I think that counts.
