What is your honest opinion of this?

Los Angeles is fighting obesity so they r trying to ban fast food restaurants according 2 The Wall Street Journal by Sarah Mcbride. Do you think banning fast food restaurants will solve the problem of obesity? I think people should take responsability for their own weight and stop trying to blame everybody and everything else. Thats my opinion whats yours.

I think that thats not necessary. Because people should be able to control how many fatty foods they eat themselves. And that would take jobs away from a lot of teens.

Fast food restaurants are not being banned in Los Angeles in general.  Only NEW fast-food restaurants in a specific section of L.A. where people are lower-income and tend to have less access to grocery stores and fresh food in their neighborhoods.

I think that taking out fast food restaurants isn't the answer. Making available more fast food places that are healthy would be great and would help I think. I'm in WV and I haven't heard of taking out any fast food restaurants.

I agree with you, they choose to go and bring their childern, why does everyone else have to deal with it?

Well people should deal with this problem them selves, but i think they should take the fast food places down, not all of them just get rid of Mc donalds, Wendeys, BK, and KFC, they should put Jamba Juices and starbucks or Petes there.  So yes i think they should get rid of fast food places.

You are so right........things have gotten so politicaly correct and beyond out of hand............DO NOT PUNISH THE REST OF US BECAUSE SOME PPL HAVE NO SELF CONTROL OVER EATING THEIRSELVES INTO BIG FAT BLIMPS!!!!!

I love french fries!!! Why would they ever ban yummy, greasy french fries?! I eat them twice a day. Yum! I only weigh 350 and I'm 7 years old. I have to wash my face 3 times a day because it's soooo greasy. My p**p smells like old grease.

i think they shouldn't shut them down. it's not there fault that all the fat people can't controll themselves and go eat everything there. your not gonna go there once and become fat. maybe the fat people should learn some self controll and stop eating so much?

and even if they do take them away fat people are still going to find a way to stuff there faces whether its at mcdonalds or at home.

that's not going to solve anything.

btw, jamba juice is just as bad for you.
