Some like it, some don't.

I think that it has a large footprint and uses too many resources so I choose to use Avast anti-virus better definitions, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit built in, faster and more reliable:

It is freedom of choice though, but Symantec would not be high on my list.

I have been using it for a while without any problems even though I have heard lots of bad things about it. But then again it all depends on what version that you have, I like Nortons 360, I have not tried it yet but are thinking about buying it when my subscription expires soon. They have 3 version of Nortons and you can purchast it for 1 to 2 years subscriptions and even to cover up to 3 to 5 computers at the same time from one cd software. There is (Norton Antivirus 2008 program, Norton Internet Security and Norton 360)
