im a girl and i dont think it's appropriate. i wear shorts in public places but not short shorts.

It may be tacky and in bad taste but, you or anyone else cannot dictate what other people will wear.  As long as it is not breaking any law you need to butt out.  Personally, I don't like to see people wearing slippers in public but I don't try to impose my thinking on the rest of the world.  Maybe you are one of those people who want women to cover their face in public and wear that big tent like dress.  Who the h**l are all of you people to call these girls whores? There should be no dress code in going to the malls and parks.

Now, Government offices is another thing.

Civil servants are expected to render honest and unbiased services to every citizen, but they would be placed under extreme duress when girls attired so, should approach them for help.   They might also hit something else on their keyboards at the sight, cause unexpected errors and whole systems may go haywire.   They might even start a war if the office was in charge of delivering missiles to the enemy.

Thus, it is my considered opinion that barely clad s*x sirens should be banned from going into government buildings,  unless they come in more conservative clothes.

I think it's wrong, and not tollerable.  First of all, people that do that look like whores and are giving a bad impression on younger people. I don't know too many people that like seeing *** hanging over or under pants or shorts.  It's not good looking or flattering.

If you got it, flaunt it! BUT make sure to respect other people and do it in a appropriate place. Government offices, Churches and Schools may not exactly be the best place for them but Malls and Parks are OK! Fashion is a way of expressing one's self and if you think wearing short shorts makes you feel better and more beautiful then why not? Personally, I prefer shorts that are longer than what I can reach with my hands when I stand straight but that's just me.

Joe is right, who are you guys to call them these girls whores. You don't know them, I have a very good friend who wears short shorts and she's nothing like a w***e. Of course it is terribly inappropriate, but as long as the people wearing them get the responses they like (whistles, stares, positive comments), they will continue to wear them.

And yes, it is tolerable.  We may not like them, but we can tolerate them.  That's not to say we can't voice our opinion of them.
