"Massive kidnappings to supply the demand for babies/toddlers by US/Canadians, everyone turning a blind eye to children being forced to breed children for US/Canadians, more attorney's going above and beyond in committing crimes for the multi million dollar business it has become. More people adopting to placate themselves. Adoption has become completely unethical because of the majority of people wanting a little baby/toddler to call their own. How can they call themselves a proud parent when they are destroying both their childs life as well as the life of childs mother. Maybe if they were fitted with glasses they wouldn't look at adoption with such googly eyes."

  1. 2= almost totally disagree. There are isolated incidents of certain agencies, etc, that are running those kinds of practices, but they ALWAYS make the news, making it look like there is more than there are.  And the supply/demand argument is bull. If NO one adopted, there would still be almost just as many women getting pregnant when they are not ready for/wanting a child. What would they do with those children? Hopefully parent anyway... but not all of them would..

WOW to the poster above me "one out of twelve"

All I can say is amen, amen, amen.. you deserve 50 stars for that answer.

Yeah, what about the lies the girls in the U.S. are told, that abortion is an "easy way out" that will allow them to "go on with their lives" like the pregnancy never happened? I won't name names, but I've seen people on this board that condone abortion for unwanted pregnancies.  Who's outraged at the selfishness of abortion? Who's with the girls who get abortions as (many of them) deal with the devastating emotional after-effects? Who's condoning lying to the girls that it's "just a lump of tissue."  So that the multi-million dollar abortion industry can keep making money? Where's the outrage for that?  Oh.. I forget.. THOSE children are not grown up bitter adults, so they can't speak for themselves.. therefore they don't matter... pffft..

Oh, and my friend from India has quite similar story as you described in china. That birthparents, rather than being taken advantage of, are either desperately trying to pawn their child off to wealthy foreigners, or trying to get money from them by promising a child for adoption.

  2. frankly that answer is just B+++S+++

  3. 3,  Yes there is some corruption but what in life good or bad is not corrupted, seriously. Is anything clean now including charties. Should I feel bad for wanting to adopt I think not. Mine was and is an open domestic adoption who I have or will knowing engage in a corrupt adoption heck no it is not fair to all parties including future people who are adopting. I think it is the job of all to make sure it is as ethical and "clean" as adoption can be. Do I feel horrible and saddened that I came to adoption because I myself was unable to have kids and have to "take" someone else child away. In an ideal world I would be able to have kids simply, my son's birthmother would have been able to keep her child and the state would have allowed her. Adoption is not necessary fun or easy there are hard choices to be made all around.

  4. Sadly, I must agree.  Adoption, in many instances, has stopped being about the best interests of the child in favor of the entitlement of the adoptive parents who find well-intentioned but unsuspecting bparents.  This scenario is overwhelmingly represented in adoptions that originate in poorer coutries.

  5. Do not agree whatsoever.

  6. I believe in my heart many of these stories are exaggerated. I have been to some of these countries and some people walk right up to you and beg you to buy their baby. I have seen one baby that was found in China after being left by someone. It is not unusual for Chinese woman to approach westerners that are holding asian babies and say "Lucky Baby".

Remember about ten years ago people were saying the same thing about children in third world countries being used in sweat shops.

Well we Americans did our best to liberate these children. Ahhhh but no happy ending here. Without work many of these young girls and some boys turned to lives of prostitution.

The liberals in America just need another cause.

I have two sweet little causes here at home that are suffering from the bad choices of their parents. One of them is a fourteen year old who is pregnant by a nineteen year old.. Another is so scared to sleep alone in her room because she is afraid mommy's boyfriend will come and get her. This is what is available in foster care folks and not every potential adoptive parents is geared to handle these situations. It takes a heck of allot more then love to care for these kids.

I hear so much about the teens over seas "breeding" babies for infertiles. What about little fourteen year old American "Daisy" living with us who went to Planned Parenthood seeking advice about pregnancy. What about their willingness to take the baby out of her womb and sell it for the parts? Where is the outcry for girls like her?

A dead baby is better then a live one relinguished? Where is the acknowledgement of "loss" for these girls? The lies they are told?

I guess American girls having abortions to fuel the medical research industry is not enough of a cause to warrant change. How about the kickbacks the doctors and abortion mills get for the cohersion of these girls?

What happened to personal accounability in this country? It is so easy fo ther anti-adoption machine to blame adoptive parents. But without us more children would be stuck in foster care. And the reason we have so much foster care in this country is because of idealogs convincing young woman they can raise a baby on their own without any thought of what happens five years down the road when your so frustrated you can't make ends meet.  And the taxpayer is footing the bill along the way.

I have no problem supporting a woman who wants keep her child but when one baby turns into another and this becomes a lifestyle then you need to draw the line somewhere. Why do you think other countries export their babies? Because they do not want to care for them. And this is the fault of the adoptive parents how?

The change is adoption is not encouraged enough.

    01 STRONGLY disagree.

  7. It was sad and silly. I do not agree at all. But sadly extremists dominate a lot of adoption discussions.

  8. 01=totally disagree

    More propaganda

  9. 01- totally disagree

  10. Adoption is an industry that generates huge profits...where there's money, there's corruption.  People simply refuse to see it, because they want what they want, and they will get it!

  11. 10  I totally agree.

Turning a blind eye or deaf ear to atrocities is never acceptable. Paying a crooked attorney $20-70,000 in 3rd world country should be a red flag to anyone. Its not expenses, its the going rate for payoff due to the demand/competition between those wanting a baby/toddler desperately.  Wake up and grow up. Kidnapping and contributing to atrocities is never acceptable in the mind of someone that has morals and ethics. How could anyone possible justify kidnapping to an a-child. That's not adoption any way you cut it.
