  1. Onion.

If there is onion in it I'm not eating it. Dislike the flavor, hate the crunch, hate the way diced up pieces just hide in stuff, just hate it in general.

After that...don't like tomatoes (sauce--with onion removed with strainer--is good), celery, lettuce, peppers other than jalapeno, and a bunch of other stuff. There is probably far fewer that I like than dislike...couldn't be a vegetarian, I'd starve to death.

  2. ok, nerdy botanist here...   eggplant, hominy, peas, bittermelon are NOT vegetables.... they're fruits.

    i can't say i've met a vegetable that i hate...  (i said i was a nerd)

  3. Broccoli & Cauliflower

  4. this is a toss up: either artichokes or lima beans

  5. Canned asparagus.....but I love fresh.....they really mess it up by canning it

  6. That's funny, because I love-love eggplant!  :-)

What I hate hate hate with an undying hate is cauliflower.  Between the smell, the weird texture, the fact that it looks like little brains on a plate, the *smell*, well, I'll never like it.

I once saw this cookbook advocating that mothers "sneak" cauliflower (and other vegetable) purees into kids' food.  I think if the kids can't smell or taste the cauliflower, something's very wrong with them--or else one day, they'll tell a friend's mom, "Your mashed potatoes are so good!  My mom makes the most awful mashed potatoes."

  7. Ditto on the eggplant.

And whoever decided to can asparagus should be dealt with harshly.

  8. asparagus. I just don't like them. I'm not too fond of carrots either, but if I eat them with something else, they're okay.

  9. There's a tie where my tastebuds are concerned:

    OKRA

    &

Lima beans (I call them Slima beans)

  10. Canned spinach, I love it steamed or raw, but canned is nasty.

BTW: You need to get some good eggplant recopies. If not cooked right it does taste nasty. Try some on the BBQ.

  11. Probably Kale. I don't know, I just really do not like the taste of it.

  12. Okra. Blech!

  13. PEAS! Gross. I hate peas, potatos and beans (if you even count them as veggies)... but anything else is game. =)

  14. I hate celery --- the vegetable and anything else celery related -- celery salt for example

  15. i can't stand bittermelon..

you might not know what it is...

its like a long green vertically ridged squash-ish thingey and it tastes horrible!

    i can't stand peas!

they taste so powdery and icky!

its really wierd because i like to eat freezedried ones

like the peas in the cup of noodles...

they don't taste like peas lol

personally i like eggplant depending on how its cooked

  16. Fennel

I love almost all vegetables!! :)

  17. Eggplant and artichokes

  18. garbanzo beans. they taste and have the texture of wet sandpaper.

  19. There's a popular vegetable in India, I've no idea what it's English name is but we call it 'knol khol'. I hate it because it tastes like spicy rock with fiber everywhere... yuck!!

  20. Broccoli.

  21. Peas and sometimes eggplants.

  22. For me it is Okra.  I think it is yucky and the first time I tried it it was slimy.  My first asparagus was slimy as well but I have since learned to like it after trying it prepared properly. Mmm

  23. Broccoli! I do have some issues with eggplant too.

  24. It's a tie between rhubarb and an Indian vegetable called tindora (it looks like a little cucumber).

I like eggplant, and even bitter melon. Lotus root is good. I like almost every vegetable if it's fresh. But not so with rhubarb and tindora.

  25. Kumquat, though I like to pretend I like it so I can say kumquat on a regular basis.

  26. I love all vegetables!

  27. Well, if we're including fruits, I tried eggplant the other day and it was nearly on the gag reflex side of my taste palate.

Raw onions also give me an "eww gross" reaction.

Oh, and eating pure red or green pepper takes a lot of effort for some reason.

  28. Asparagus and Brussell Sprouts....ICK!  Slimy lizardy things shouldn't belong in Kingdom Plantae.

  29. Eggplant and Celery

  30. I love egglplant!  Took some getting used to but in Baba Ganoush and Szechuan Eggplant it is incredible.

I can not stomach most sweet squashes. Causes a involuntary gag reflex.

  31. celery!

and i know mushrooms don't count as a veggie, but i hate hate HATE mushrooms with a feverish passion!! people are always trying to sneak them into vegetarian food.  **excuse me, but i would prefer my food to be free of fungi...thanks**

nasty, nasty little fungi....and they have GILLS!! gross.
