What is your most horrible fear you have in your life?

mine is loneliness.

Mine is that my children will become seriously ill, disabled, or die before I do. Everything else pales in comparison.

In no particular order:

A big wood roach will crawl on me or my child.

My kid will fall face first and knock out a tooth or otherwise permanently harm their beautiful face.

That I'll s***w up and mess my kids up somehow.

Having to listen to an eternal h**l fire torture preacher ramble on for all eternity.  That scares me a lot.  I'm sweating right now!

i hate bugs. i like to watch them on tv and books, but not in real life.

Mind was for one of my children to die. It happened, and it was horrible. But I got over it.

I still love God, I still believe He loves me, and I still believe I am blessed.

That is eye-opening that you say loneliness.  I just read from another friend of mine that loneliness was also her greatest fear.  I think that most of us don't admit that, but because of our fear of loneliness we tolerate such unethical and damaging behavior in our relationships, just so we won't be alone.  My greatest fear is that I won't be able to forgive someone who betrayed me and that I will end up unable to know grace again, because of it.
