What is your opinion? 08 Scion, cool or tool? ?

sometimes i look at it and it is a thing of beauty then sometimes it looks as ugly as h**l. please respond.

I have to say that the only Scion that I like is the TC.  I've always thought that the XB was an ugly "car."  To me it looks like a classic roller skate.  the XD isn't bad, if I had enough money and could get a second car just to get groceries or leave at the airport, an XD would work well.  However I did prefer the old complete box XB over the semi-rounded one that is being made now.  It seems like Honda and Scion are trying to make the ugliest boxes on the road between the XB and the Element.

teh new xB looks ridiculous.  the old ones looked better and in the era of high gas prices were more rational as well.

Im with Chris L, I have an white 05 Tc with '19 inch black rims with the RS 1.0 lip kit with a turbonetics turbo in it which got the car up 140 HP more, my car is at 307 HP and 290 TQ which is awesome for a little car I have a video on youtube killing a 350z, Scion Tc are awesome cars.

Scion is a great car for the money. It's a good looking car with great aftermarket support. This is probally why you you only like some and not others, due to the way some ppl mod it.  I personally love it. I have a limited edition release series and couldnt ask for more.

in my personal opinion, i think it is cool. it has a very seek, subtle look to it and when modified/lowered it doesn't look like the ricy honda civics and integras, etc. it looks like a more mature car rather than a teen car (honda civic, eclipse, integra) in my opinion.

when modified tastefully, the tc will be sure to turn heads but not enough to get noticed by the police wherever your driving. in all honestly, all you really need to get the s**y look is lower the car, add on tint and if you feel like it put on some nice rims. thats it, and i guarantee people will be complimenting you on the look of the car. not only that, but if you do modify the engine for performance mods that thing takes off. the engine can handle up to 350 hp on stock internals which means you can put out that much hp without having to modify the engine. so pretty much you can put on a turbo, be running at around 300 hp without any problems. plus, in that range you'll be running with evo's and sti's...only difference is that your car looks stock and not flashy. its a sleeper for sure.

scion xb: im kinda torn like you are on the looks. the 08 xb looks less like a bread box but at the same time has that sort of shape. but, if you lower the car, put tint/rims and a spoiler that car looks pretty s**y. but stock wise, i think it's not the best looking lol.

The XB was designed to be a "love it or hate it" vehicle, I personally think its cool. It kind of has a gangster, toaster look. Its a very cool ride, especially with after market wheels.

Thanks for clarifying that.  The xB is definitely cool.  Scion took the original big on the inside, small on the outside, boxy first generation xB, stretched it slightly, pulled the sheet metal into a taut, sleek package, added more power and better ride/handling to make a killer ride.

It is a vast improvement over the original model (although this annoys many Gen1 xB fans), but still has a lot of features at a bargain basement price, plus Toyota quality backing it up.  What the xB lost in "funky", it more than made up for in "cool", and it still gets pretty decent gas mileage.

On top of that, there are tons of TRD and aftermarket parts available that offer all kinds of opportunities to customize the xB to fit your style.

I own a 2007 TC.  I like the car for what it is.  Its a nice looking car though admittedly a little on the plain side, even with the factory pedistal spoiler, (which completes the look of the car in my opinion).

But what really attracted my wife and I to the vehicle is its lack of flash.  It has a elegeant look without being overly attractive to Local Law Enforcement for "Random Checks".  In otherwords pulling you over for 5 miles per hour over the posted speed limit just because he had nothing better to do.

Its got the power when you need it, especially in my case because I opted for the Supercharger.  But it also is quiet and does not draw un-necessary attention from the idiot teen-agers who see fit to challenge everything they see.  In this case normally my tail-lights. Ha Ha Ha!

But above all, is the price to obtain the car new.  When you compare all of the other cars of this ilk, the options that come standard on this vehicle will definately give you the bang for the buck.  Even without the Supercharger.
