What is your opinion about earth hour?

I think it's a nice idea but probably won't do much to help. I mean it's only one hour and it's not like we're going to do it every week or something.

I think it's great. I noticed others on here said negative comments about earth hour, and one person said it's not going to help anything. but the truth is that it does. The point isn't to save the world or make a huge change, it's to get people thinking. The earth gives us everything we need. It provides us with all of the things we could ever ask for and more. All we do is suck it dry. The least we can friggin do is take ONE hour of our lives to pay a tribute to her. For the person who said it's a "nuicance" and that "the courts should do something about this", you must be really blind to the world. I'm not a environmentalist or anything. I am guilty too just like everyone else for polluting and all that c**p. It's just that I have the respect to take this one hour of my life, unplug all of my stuff, roll a big doob and go for a stroll along the beautiful streets of my city...just take it all in, and enjoy the fact that I'm even alive. Amongst the everyday hustle and bustle of life. We have to take the time out to do these things every now and then. For now we are here, the least we could do is treat Earth with a little respect....

I think its a good idea but find it a little pointless. Some businesses in my town have said they will participate but only turn off unnecessary power because of safety reasons. I beg the question, "Shouldn't unnecessary power be turn off anyway, seeing as its unnecessary? A lot of people don't realize that most of the lights they are turning off, should already be off in the first place, not just for one hour of one day in the entire year.

i think it is totally a NUISANCE. Imagine the inconvenience and stress it puts on the people by putting them in dark for 1 whole hour. So much productivity is lost and life gets put to halt for 1 whole hour.

No one in the 21st century has to live like primitive era when there was no electricity.  I hope this thing gets banned from coming to effect. some court needs to stop this.
