What is your opinion about the Colorado Avalanche??

They would have been great this season, if it weren't for injuries. And they were injuries to good players, not the 4th liners. This is coming from a wings fan so of course i kinda hate Colorado, but i have to give them credit.

they were awesome during the days before the salary cap because they could buy free agents left and right when they had no farm system. After the lockout they lost that ability and had to practically build a team from scratch with no farm system to draw on. they have done a remarkable job, but the days of the red wings avalanche rivalry is over. The Red Wings won all regular season games in 07-08 and swept the avs in the playoffs.

Having been a die-hard Canadiens fan longer than "Gonchar" has been alive, originally I despised this team, seeing them as the old Nordiques, but over the years I've grown to have a tremendous amount of respect for Burnadby Joe + even have a Sakic jersey

I'm with Habs-fan

As a Habs fan it was hard to be a fan of Colorado at the begining..I mean..they were the Nordiques in my eyes for a long time.  But that all changed when Patrick Roy came to play there... I followed them much more and came to appreciate the team.

p.s. what are you talking about..bad uniform. I love it.  It's my 3rd fav after the Habs and Ottawa :)

They are old and young but their middle guys like Smyth and Hannan have packed it in after getting their "big" deal and who is there goaltender???

The Northwest is the most enjoyable and competitive division in the NHL with an old and overpaid team you think a young and hungry team like the Oilers like watching Avs embarrass the Northwest in playoffs and won't want to slit their throat

They had an amazing team that rivaled the Red Wings in the 90's, but yes the salary cap has killed their organization. They right now have a core of players that will go on to play well, but until they dump some dead weight, namely Forsberg, who will retire this offseason, and if Sakic can still play at a high level, otherwise they need to re-sign him at a lower price to get some talent through FA.

coming from a minnesota fan i would say that there about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. but you never know. i heard there getting marty sertich, ive been skating with him for the past month and he's been great so.

they are my favorite team in the NHL and i personally think they are amazing and no team in the NHL would of beat the Detroit there really skilled team but i don't think they will do as good this year because of Joe sakic and peter forsberg retiring.

hate their guts. even the players that werent on the old teams that rivaled Detroit. i hate that whole organization.
