He said truth. Listen him and try to understand why there was no other ways for Russia. Now many people have a chance to be happy.

It is does not matter for them how USA and NATO are reacting. They are just happy.

Basically, I think Medvedev is a puppet of Putin.  Russia has been trying to take over S. Ossetia by pumping it full of Russian citizens and then staging a 'breakaway' from Georgia.  Russia is not happy that Georgia wants to become part of NATO and has been moving to eliminate that perceived threat (and also wants the resources in that area).  Russia is doing what Putin perceives as his best interest.
