I couldn't wait to graduate, but honestly it wasn't that hard. I got a chance to see what bct was like at Ft. Leonard Wood when I went there for AIT and it is harder there. I remember thinking the drill sergeants let a lot slide. And our platoon only had 2 drill sergeants while other platoons had 3. Also there were plenty of things that people got a "no go" on at they never had to redo. Now there were challenges, but it could have been harder. Especially towards the end, that is when it really began to get more relaxed.

What is your opinion of it?

It IS basic training, but my best friend went there a couple months ago and she called me and her boyfriend two to three times a week for at LEAST twenty minutes. Fort Jackson is one of the most "relaxed" basic trainings, but like I said; it IS basic training.

I'm going in a couple months, so..I'll let ya know then k?! Haha.

basic training is the same no matter what training post you go to, as a recruiter and a former drill sergeant i can attest to this. there is a day to day schedule as to what you do and how to do that is established at the TRADOC level (training doctrine), the main differences you will see in basic training are due to different drill sergeants, everyone likes to do things a little differently and they are the only ones who will really alter how basic training is for the individual soldier.  don't listen to the "relaxin jackson" and "lazy leonardwood" b.s. it's not true
