What is your opinion of a better DnD game 3.5 or 4e and why?

I am a new player to the game and I`m not sure whether to start the so called harder 3.5 version or the easier ruined version od Dnd 4e? please answer my other questions.

Curious as to why, if you're a new player, you see 4E as 'ruined'. If you're just echoing someone else's opinion, I suggest you might try it yourself first.

3.5: Pros - established game, lots of material available, lots of existing groups; Cons - vast number of supplements confusing, requires making informed choices and possibly a major outlay of $$, playing with people with a much greater familiarity with the rules, little or new content will be released

4E: Pros - somewhat simplified rules, newly released so everyone on equal footing, just 3 books maximum to buy currently, classes appear fairly equal in utility, emphasis on group dynamics; Cons - less emphasis on skills, more MMORG feel instead of traditional tabletop, more emphasis on combat than non-combat abilities
