  1. Hard Working, Nice people.  Its a hard sport.

I cheer 5 hours a week and sometimes more.

But I do competitve cheerleading so its a little harder then sideline cheerleading.

Cheerleaders are just people just like the rest of you.

People shouldnt judge the sport based on steriotypes.

    Done and Done. =)

  2. I believe that all groups sometimes get a bad rap because of stereotypes.  You need to get to know the individual.  My neice is a cheerleader, but doesn't really hang out with the other girls because of the way they act and treat other classmates.

  3. well i used to be a cheerleader. but it got kind of annoying. and im not at all preppy. people actually call me emo and stuff. but i was just tired of people thinking i was all cocky and know it all just because i cheered.

  4. Well, I was one (song-leader) in HS, my opinion may differ from some.  I think it was fun.  It was strenuous at times, exhilarating and sometimes frustrating. We worked hard at our routines, went to competitions and studied various sports so that we would know when to cheer the right cheer.

I know many think that all cheerleaders are stuck-up,S****y and stupid and can't do anything but bounce around in short skirts, and unfortunately many don't give any reason to deny this claim.  But I knew a lot of cheerleaders who were straight A students, didn't sleep around and did it for the fun of it, the exercise and travel (plus it looks good on a college application).

Most of those that I knew are now long time married and working to support their families.

I have watched high school sports in the past few years with my kids and I think the dancing has gotten to sexually explicit, which isn't what cheer-leading was about.  I have also noticed that they don't seem to care what is going on on the field, so they don't know what cheer to use in some situations.  It also seems that they are not concerned about audience participation, which was a big part of our job.  Although I realize that may just be one school. So much has changed since "back in my day".  But that was over 30 years ago.

  5. Probably not very smart. Goody goody. No personality. Not big on thinking for herself.

  6. a lot of my friends are cheerleaders. they are usually very nice people but it depends on the person really not just what they do as a sport

  7. they r people who help support other people by cheering them on and i think that's what makes them very good people but sometimes they take advantage of knowing they do good things for other people and just treat them bad by being mean to them even though they r not bad people.

  8. it depends.... some are really stuck up but others are nice....it just depends on the person... but they're ok

  9. Some think there Smuts/s***s.

some think being a cheerleader is hot.

I personal am Neutral on the topic

  10. They're just like everybody else. Some good, some bad. Good looks is pretty much the only thing they really have in common.

  11. I think a cheerleader is a person that is great with gymnastics, dance and has a great ability of giving school spirit.

Ima cheerleader myself and we also go through name calling like sl-uts and wh-ores but mostly people are jealous.

We have many talents and we express them through cheer.

Cheerleading is not just dancing around in a short skirt.

We flip, We do splits... we risk ourselves just like any other sport!

-If we are so dumb-how do we stay on the squad?

  12. well i don't think saying someone is a cheerleader can give u a good impression of them.

they could be extremely nice, or they could get stuck up from popularity.

    i can't say exactly.

  13. stereotypically i would say probably an air head... but ive know some pretty cool cheerleaders in my day.

  14. ANNOYING.

  15. a *****, a w***e, anorexic, and a blonde that lacs education.

  16. It depends on the person. I was friends with a cheerleder. she was very nice to everyone and smart. She was kind of a drama geek =]. But the others i knew were rude and acted like stereotypes. sad for them.

  17. I like Radical Cheerleaders the best!  "It's activism with pom poms and middle fingers extended. It's screaming **** CAPITALISM while doing a split."

  18. I have nothing against cheerleaders. my best friend is one.

movies and t.v. just makes them look like hoes. they are actually pretty cool. I might be one next year.

  19. i hate these questions a lot, cheerleading has nothing to do with your personality most people were probably stuck up and rude BEFORE they started cheering. and you can't judge everyone before you even know them.

  20. Some are stupid (and give us blondies a bad name), some are evil, some are show-offs that are just in it for the sport...but almost all of them are preppy, annoying blonde s***s. Even if you aren't one, you'll either become one or no one will give you a chance to prove otherwise.

  21. To have an opinion of cheerleaders in general is stupid. Cheerleaders are people and they're all individuals. There is a stigma that they're all mean, snotty, and S****y, but that's simply untrue. I think more of the stigma falls on people who are jealous and uncomfortable with themselves rather than on cheerleaders. Of course they're perky-- that's kind of their job...=)  If being around perky people annoys you, find new friends.

  22. I think some are hot and some are not....but they all have the spirit~ RAH RAH RAH!

  23. My opinion of a cheerleader is a retarted dancer, and I think they are very air headed.

  24. A cheerleader is a human being that resides directly above the center of the earth.  That is my opinion.

  25. Well, you have to concider that everyone is different. And yes everyone gets the opion that a cheerleader is a stuck up girl wanting attention. But underneath the tight uniform and makeup, I believe there is a girl or boy that has spirt and is ready to show that. But when you see alll the girls in the movies they are stuckup and all that well in my town there nothing like that. Most of the time there really nice and encrouage others to join and make a louder noise.

So to me I believe cheerleaders are all different. But most of the time have a whole lot of spirt!

    hope i helped

uh and sorry for spelling mistakes..broken comupter. but its easy to understand.

  26. Hi! Well I want to get the record straight.

First cheerleading is a sport, a very hard sport with learning cheers, doing stunts and gymnastics

Most people when they think of cheerleaders, they think they are stuck up, s***s, blonds and only think about themself. Well most people get this idea in their heads because of what cheerleading movies portray.

There isn't a decent cheerleading movie that shows how hard of a sport it is and the real kind of people that are part of the team. Yes, alot of cheerleaders can think that everythings all about them BUT that's not all cheerleaders.

Cheerleaders like to cheer, keep spirts up, get a crowd going! They do work hard. They arnt just trying to show off whats underneath their uniforms.

    Hope this clears somethings up!

  27. all cheerleaders are different, i am a cheerleader, but im not stuck up or bitchy. alot of cheerleaders come off as that. but not all cheerleaders are.

  28. It depends which one.  Seeing how the game is going, the cheerleaders might be the highlight.

The only sad thing is when they go bad, like when Susie from Woodrow Roosevelt High joined the Joker's gang.

  29. a cheerleader is a person what is there to have an opinion about??

    <3

  30. most cheerleaders i know are doin it for the attention they get from guys... but there are also the chicks that cheer because they like it.

  31. someone who likes to be out having fun on the field with their friends. somebody who is confident and likes to cheer for her school!
