  1. I have nothing negative to say about foster care. Most of the time kids are in foster care because of the lack of parenting they received, or neglect or abandonment. I think every child deserves to have a HOME not just a house.

Foster parents are great people. It takes alot of strength to take in a child who you dont know and alot of times has problems. And to open your heart and home to help them is a beautiful thing.

The only problem i have is when kids bounce from home to home i think its sad. And i wish there was a better way so this didn't happen. Children need stability in there lives they need structure and limitations and when being bounced around none of that is there.

If you are a foster parent, I admire you i truly do and i wish there was more families in this world like you.

  2. I was adopted at birth, I do not know my biological mother and father, but the man and woman who adopted me were terrific parents.  When I was adopted they ran a foster home, I was able to see all types of situations come and go.  I mean some were so bad it would make you sick (for example, 3 children were burned by someone who was suppose to love them, others were from neglect).  Foster care is one of the best things that could ever have been created.  You know in some cases people just want the children for the money, which is the wrong reason.  A lot of kids need love and guidance and that was one thing my parents did so well.  My father passed away 20 yrs ago, and to this very day I really miss him, I live next door to my mother and we still have a great relationship.  All of the children (25 plus) still keep in contact with us.  It all depends on the adult individual who is planning to be a foster parent.  One thing is for sure it takes a lot of patients to run a foster home.
