  1. we can deal with it by creating jobs that poor people can do.

my opinion on poverty is that its horrible and must be a heavily focused issue.

we can learn from poverty that anyone can go from super rich to super poor very quickly.

we should focus a great deal on poverty, almost important as public education.

only way well be able to fight it is if everyone lends a hand, but many people just arent that big into helpin those who apparently "cant help themselves"

  2. It is interesting that you asked this question. I was just talking about how a number of divorced women with children really struggle to stay out of poverty. Most are a paycheck away from being in poverty if not already. My friend  with a college degree is struggling to pay rent after her house was foreclosed. I think single and divorced women with children really have it the worse. Some aren't lucky enough to have family and friends or ex-husbands to help them out. There should be services offered to" those" that are told by the programs they make too much money when they are barely making it. Things like free daycare, insurance, attorneys and other programs. They live in poverty after paying bills or have to move back home with parents at the age of 40. According to the government they make too much to get any assistance. One of reasons I'm still with my husband is the fear of living in poverty. If we had to split property down the middle we would not make it. We both have decent jobs but we would lose.

  3. Poverty is a state of mind. Until we go after the state of mind of the poor, we will be dealing with the symptoms and not the cause.

  4. Poverty is a tough issue for everyone to deal with. Its a big t**d sandwhich that everyone has to take a bite of whether its the poor b******s born into and have little to no chance of climbing out of due to lack of resources in life, or us more fortunate who have to pay into a mostly hopeful battle. As cold as it might sound, maybe the best way to deal with it, it not too and only let the strong survive. Sad but maybe the reality of it.

rice for each questions you answer is sent out to communities you need.

    not a lot, but it's a start.

  6. Poverty is something that will always be there.

However the definition of poverty will constantly change.  Most americans living in poverty have a dishwasher, two cars, two tvs, and a three bedroom house.  Doesn't sound too much like poverty to me.

Anywho to deal with it would be to put more emphasis on further education after highschool.  So many people live the way they do b/c they wouldnt take the effort to pursue any kind of training.  Its so affordable now that everyone and anyone can do it.

  7. To the guy that wants the emphasis on education, I couldnt disagree more.

Once college becomes obtainable for absolutely anyone, a degree will be pretty much obsolete.  Pretty much like high school diplomas are now.

I think the best thing for thee U.S as a country to do is to focus on the economy and bringing back jobs that require little to no skills.  Everyone serves a purpose in this life and not everyone can be white collar, not everyone wants to be white collar.

There was once a time when the U.S was good at something and people could work and prosper.  That is no more.  We need to bring back things that people can thrive in at their own individual skill levels and feel like the are contributing to society rather than giving them a ride off tax-payer money.

  8. 1) Unconditional kindness.

    2) The result of human elitism.

    3) Life is hardest for those who are only trying to take care of themselves.

    4) As much as possible, which means working together, unfortunately.
