And other commentary shows of this ilk? Does it say anything about the state of journalism in the US? Does it say anything about us, as consumers that these shows have become so common?

  1. I'm not impressed, I mean just the other day he said that the president is "disillusioned" and "a failur at policy making". Now I'm a Bush supporter and I don't mind if people voice their opposition to him, that's fine, but when a journalism pops it into their reporting, I just find it tacky. I feel the same when they do it to a liberal.

About the state of journalism, there really isn't one anymore, everyone broadcasts their thoughts in their journalism, which is commentating. I've found that Christiane Amanpour and Brit Hume have done the best to conseal their beliefs, but there is still the occasional slip up.

All I can say is I'm glad he hasn't hit prime time yet.

  2. He rants a lot.  I agree with him about half the time, but I only watch about once a week.  I should be reading a book, I'd learn more and be entertained, too.
