  1. Actually, this looks to me like one of the "cleanest" Olympics I've ever seen- as far as the drug situation is concerned... I'm NOT as sure that all of the age requirements of the Athletes are being met (some of those little Chinese gymnasts- look like they still have their "Baby Teeth" !). But their Athleticism is Wonderful & a pleasure to watch. By & large, all things considered, I think China has been a pretty GOOD host Country so far... I think they're really Trying to make a GOOD Impression in most ways...-So I'll give them a "9.0" for Effort & Entertainment!  :)

  2. I dont think they are doped up,but I do believe it is all a big joke.Their are starving countries, and countries at war,and we are all off playing games.Typical political B,S.The world is in total kaos, and we elect to have olympics.Imagine the money they spent, how many people that would have clothed ,fed, and housed.

  3. most of them are doped up.

  4. I love the olympics, they are super entertaining!

Do you mean on steroids when you say "doped up?" I think it's just like the swim team. I heard rumors about steroid use.

China is a good host country, did you see the opening ceremony, it rocked!

  5. don't care never watch any Olympics no matter what country it is held in never have never  will i find athletics and swimming very boring.

i also think the games are an expensive waste of money. i'm very angry that i live in london and having to feel powerless as the government p iss millions of pounds up the wall for this  2 week 2012 white elephant

  6. with all that's going on in the world today, i just want to say,  CHINA YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB, i mean the opening ceremony had me glued to the TV.  great job, China has come a long way from their old ways.  KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

  7. The Olympics are a great event.  Whilst there are drug cheats, i do not think you can use a blanket statement like 'most of the athletes are doped up' without some evidence.  Yes, there are always question marks about some countries due to their past records and the reality is that drug cheats will compete but few will get caught.  China is being very careful to put forward a manicured image of benevolence but nothing it does or could do would surprise me.

  8. It should be strictly amateurs competing! No support from the member nations to promote their positions! It's too political! Just the selection board is so corrupt that they receive undue money and influence to make a decision where the next one will be! A massive waste of funds that could help find a cure for cancer and other diseases!

  9. Look at the interest that games and sports generate and the star status that is accorded to the players.  Though we do a million things every day and find a great number of careers over the world, there is one thing that unites all which is sport.  It is also because of the fact that everyone want to be healthy and remain on top.

Using drugs to excel in sports and dominate others is the criminal aspect of games and it should be condemned.

About China, it is a great country and doing well in winning medals.

  10. Chemicals and technology have taken over the competition and with the Chinese using younger gymnasts to gain an advantage this year was a waste. The hype did not result in real sportsmanship. I watched very little and when I saw the 14 year old Chinese being passed off as 16 i tuned it out. Corruption has taken over just about everything and the commercial concerns far outweighed the athletic values.

  11. There will always be cheats who take performance enhancing drugs. I suspect there appears to be more in the Olympics than any other sporting event because they are more stringently tested, and so more get found out.

Up until now the Chinese are doing a great job of presenting the games.

  12. it's good if it leads to peace,

but now we have war in georgia!
