What is your opinion of the United Nations?

What are the good things they have done?

What do you like/dislike about them?

Would the USA be better off without them?

The UN became an incompetent, corrupt organisation which is dominated by the worlds most backwards regimes, such as the Muslim block and African dictatorships. UN stands for Useless Nothing. The West should clean it up or abandon it.

It is a cesspool of mediocrity and corruption where 2nd rate politicos go to retire. It has become a joke. It does some good as a forum. Generally selfish politics and small mindedness rules but I guess we get what we deserve.

I have seen very little evidence of good done by the UN.  Instead they bring corruption to an unimagined level and are as indecisive as a child.

The US should withdraw immediately and then sit back and watch as the paper tiger burns.

I think the whole incompetent and corrupt tribe of mutants should move to Brussels...as it is all they accomplish is billing us for "dues"  and causing massive e traffic jams in NYC by double parking anywhere they want... and the cops can't tag them.   What kind of union can demand and get those privleges...eh?

Does very little...makes resolutions that get ignored and the cost to the US at over half of it's budget is a rip off.

UN not a good organization. because  five country are veto power, this is not a legal.

our leader G M SAYED says, UN splat into five parts, and then from following parts in each part have one veto power country.

(1)Thinly populated countries

(2)Thickly populated countries

(3)socialist countries

(4)richest countries

(5) religions countries

I am being diplomatic so my answer is it is doing GREAT!!! CHEERS to all of them. I think the person above is a little bit uninformed about UN. Why not go to some sites and get info from there not in Yahoo Q&A.

Good forum for leaders of nations to talk to each other.  Nothing more nothing less. (Don't expect to U.N. to prevent genocide or other human ills)
