  1. Bad pick for Obama Biden is an washington insider.

Palin is a breath of fresh air.

  2. Biden was good choice. Passed the Violence Against Women Act and lead several important legislative bills, as well as having built valuable relationships as head of the foreign policy commission.

Palin, not so good. Small town, small state experience. No foreign policy. She has lead reform and stood up against the whole handful of officials in Alaska.

Now if McCain had chosen a 'Hillary" equal in the Republian party, this would have been a difficult choice.

I'm an Independent voting Democarat this election.

  3. Biden was a good pick for Obama hes had loads of experience and is great with foreign policies, he knows his place and i think is an excellent choice.

Palin, he could have picked a better 1. personally i think that he only choose her 2 get the feminists on his side. She also doesn't know much about foreign policies. and shes from Alaska, theres not a lot that happens in Alaska. if 4 some strange reason McCain is elected she is going 2 b overwhelmed with all this c**p.

Independent- voting for Obama since the start hes the breath of fresh air not Palin.

  4. Biden - C+ -- No executive experience, doesn't strengthen a critical weakness.  The candidate of change selected a Washington insider.  Biden is well respected.

Palin - A -- McCain really needed to shore up support with the Evangelicals and did so with this pick.  She is an outsider at a time when Americans are fed up with D.C.

Lost in all the polls about Bush's approval rating is that he still polls a lot better than congress.

I don't think Biden helps Obama and I don't think he hurts him.  I do think Palin helps McCain.

    -- Libertarian

  5. I am voting Democrat.

I think Biden is a better choice compared to Palin.

If something happens to the president the VP becomes president.

So in saying that, I would rather Biden become president than Palin because he has more experience.

  6. biden was a good choice for obama (wished it was clinton) can't speak about who mccain picked i am a democrat to the very core of my being, so therefore i know nothing of the woman he chose as his running mate

  7. Biden, no he's to old, unknown, and just forgetable.

Palin, not sure, she is young, and currently the news stations are focussed on her and McCain, something we haven't seen in a while, but people may not take it serious because it looks like a ploy to draw former Clinton votes, and to give a fresh face to the republicans, as Obama did for the Dems.

I don't think she will hurt McCain as much as Biden can hurt Obama.

  8. Palin was a great pick for McSame, it insured Obama's victory.

  9. Biden good choice because Obama needs experience at his side.

Palin risky but maybe the one thing needed to charge the base.

I know as republican I was blase about the choice and now I am excited.  The VP debate will probably be the most watched VP debate ever!

  10. Yes. They re great picks. Because it's definitely a popularity and a beauty contest. accentuated by Sarah Palin, who is very good looking.

As far as policy goes, it doesn't matter. It's a lock. Obama will be elected as long as McCain is unable to win back enough "true conservatives". The only fix is if McCain has Bob Barr in the debates where he can win back enough conservatives who are polling for Barr, even in Alaska.

I am an elected republican and I am voting libertarian.

  11. Biden was a bad choice; evidence still out on the 'unity' of the party

Palin was a good choice brings an outsider to D.C. and will triumph big time

Democrat my entire life; now Independent after I saw the backstabbing within the party.

    Independent voting for Republicans

  12. Independent - former Hillary Supporter and I think Palin is a fantastic choice for a VP.

Now, I am more convinced than ever that we will have strong experience, solid commander in chief, and strong fiscal conservative in the office.

I hope Sarah sacks farm subsidy bills next just like she axed bridge to nowher.  I say welcome to strong USD after November 08 or January 09.  Just watch! :)
