a great display of young kids playing a game they love that will generate interest in the game?
espn taking advantage of 12 year old kids to make a lot of money?
overexposure of young kids on tv?
more than one of these?
personally i only think number 1 applies, even though i have heard claims 2 and 3 from detractors of the event...it's a great spectacle and allows all young kids to have some sort of dream, and the experience is one that will stay forever...and of course espn wants to make money off this, they're a company and that's what they're supposed to do, it wouldn't be on tv if no one watched...and as for exposing young kids on tv, i'm sure they don't want to make their families look foolish, and besides they are mostly 12 and 13 year olds and aren't total idiots, one would hope
