Benjamin Foley (A. is last name)

The first name is static while the second is more up for consideration. I'm wavering between this name and another. Foley is the name of the drive, Father Foley, where generations of my family have gone every summer for the last 50 years. I know the name Foley has certain bad images but there's no other easy way to honor this place beyond a word middle name such as Lake or Forrest.

  1. It's not bad at all. I actually kinda like it. Forrest and Lake are OK---but then he would sound like a PLACE. "Yeah, took the family over to Benjamin Lake last summer. It's in the Benjamin Forrest"......yada. Unless the place is in a county with a good name, then stick with Foley.

  2. I don't like Foley at all. It just tastes bad when I say it you know? Like I would name someone Foley if they were a drunk, that's what it reminds me of.

  3. I like Forest or Lake way better than Foley!

  4. i like the name lake or forrest more than foley...but if you dont like names that are words, i guess foley is ok

  5. Don't like it sorry!

  6. it reminds me of foal, like the baby horse.

i'm not a huge fan of this name.

  7. lake is a awesome middle name and it would be good to honor foley if there is a lot of lakes there if not than forrest.

  8. It's ok.

  9. I think it sounds nice

  10. I have a problem with Foley because it is the name of a catheter, and it isn't a traditional name. What about making it a third name - Benjamin _______ Foley A______, that way when he has to use his initials for work or for diplomas he has the choice to leave off the foley if it embarrasses him and he can use the Ben _____ A.  I think when I am in a Doctors office reading their graduation licenses what people will think when the kids whose names are moonbeam are your doctor!!!

    Good Luck.

  11. How about Franklin?

  12. Foley - Horrible for me because I deal with Foley catheters all the time.  Would never use it.

Cass -- That name is just begging for kids to pick on it.

  13. you forgot about a Foley Catheter.

  14. I don't like Foley. Cass does sounds a bit feminine but I prefer it over Foley.
