  1. i think some are real

  2. Personally, when a voice comes out of nowhere and responds directly to a question that you have just asked, or introduces their self to you, I find it hard to believe that it's radio interference or my imagination, ecspecially when the words are not the least bit illegible.  Of course, skeptics out there are always going to try to explain it away, but for some, there is just no explanation.

  3. I was googling for Frank's Box and found this. It's hard NOT  to believe this one!

    Also..here's Frank's Box..not as interesting as Jaime's.

  4. i think the reason you dont hear the EVPs well on tv is because typically they must be filtered through software...I do believe in them but I also believe some people hear what they want to hear

  5. im not sure been thinking of trying it out myself but kinda scared of it im hoping to catch the voice of my son who commited suicide in august he was 18 but im hoping they are for real

  6. It's a"red Herring".EVPs are used by ghost hunters to substantiate their golden goose. It makes all the silliness seem more believable.

  7. I have been doing evp's more years then I like to admit to.

My favorite ones are, the ones they interact with us.

I'll have the recording going, be talking about something to someone, sure enough, they state their opinions on the topic.

I had suddenly, with out realizing said something that insulted the spirit. No sooner were the words out of my mouth, she responded, she wasn't what I called her.

As I was explaining the old road system of over 100 years ago to a friend. The same female spirit said sarcastically, "Shows what she knows" You can tell she was mad at me.

Then another time, I had a friend visiting from Newport News Va. We were standing near her SUV talking with the recorder still on, you hear a female say "Newport". My first thought was a cigarette brand she was smoking, she also pointed out, she had a parking permit sticker that said Newport News.

In Gettysburg, I had gotten so many evp's. On the first battlefield, a friend & I were stopeed to talk about the energy, on the tape you hear, "I'm dying".

One day I had the recorder going in my home. No one was home, I was on the computer. On the tape you hear me typing away, then you hear a voice  saying "Red Cross". The phone rings & it was my supervisor from the Red Cross. lol

    I have boxes of evp's.

To me, a EVP is better then a picture.

  8. I have been doing EVP Sweeps for 28 years now as a Paranormal Examiner.  I've gotten a Lot of Direct Responses to Questions I have posed during an Examination.  I also have gotten a lot of Residual Audio sounds over the years.

A Direct Response to a Question is indicative of Active Paranormal Activity.  To make certain you are dealing with the spirit of a Deceased person, there needs to be Supporting datum.

Residual Activity is inherent in some older Structures, as it becomes part of the Energy field of the Structure, and will continue to "play" themselves regardless if anyone is there to hear it or not.

That was an Excellent Question!  Thanks for Asking it!

  9. EVPs are just like any other evidence to me.  If you can without a doubt rule out anything natural as the source of the noise or voice that you have gotten on a recording, then you have to say it is an EVP.

  10. Hokum.

I checked out Deenie's you tube link - clearly hokum.... otherwise why the background creepy music... just a wind up

  11. EVPs are auditory pareidolia picked up in white noise.  They are auditory patterns recognized as words or phrases in a language the listener understands.  Since the listener is frequently *looking* for them, it's no suprise they are found.  These words/phrases are captured on devices which record within the human range of hearing, so they should be heard by the naked ear as well.  The fact they frequently aren't certainly doesn't work in their favor.

  12. I watch "Ghost Hunters" on SciFi.  I find their EVPs to be mostly unrecognizable by coming through the cable and getting to my TV.

I HOPE that's the reason, because they seem SO definite about finding words within a few extraneous background noises.

Some DO come in clear, but mostly not.
