What is your opinion on circumcision in infant males?

I just posted this on the USA forums, and most American's are 50/50 for it and against it. I'm curious to know what other parts of the world think. I'm doing research for a speech and I'm a sociology major. Thank you ahead of time.

Im for it...

my little brother never had it done and he has gone through so much pain and trouble because of complications and infections..

I also know other peoples relatives that have had the same issues..

Its so much easier to do it when their young and save all the trouble later in life...

Im an athiest so religious customs plays no part in my oppinion. oh and btw im Australian so i dont know if that will make a differnce?

I'm against it, I think it's a horrifying experience for the infant, and even if it's true that they don't remember it when they're older it still hurts them at the time.

I also think females should become more socially accepting of men with uncircumcised p***s's as I have heard of men having it done as adults to please them.

Then again it's a religious custom and to try and eradicate 'anything' religious takes a million times longer than non-religious things.
